Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi, lyricist Irshad Kamil, poets Anitha Thampi and Hoshang Merchant among top names at this year's Bengaluru Poetry Festival

The festival also highlights the emergence of rap and poetry on social media

Bengaluru Poetry Festival (BPF) is back with an impressive line-up in its fourth edition. BPF will be held on the weekend of July 20-21 at The Taj West End. The festival this year features names like Anitha Thampi, Hoshang Merchant, Veeranna Madiwalar, Anuradha Patil and other popular poets who write in different languages of India and in English.

Among the popular names who will be present at the event are lyricists and poets Irshad Kamil and Manoj Muntashir. This year the festival also hosts special sessions on rap and poetry on social media. In fact, MC Sher from Gully Boy, actor Siddhant Chaturvedi will also be one of the inaugural speakers at the event. 

An interesting session to watch out for this year is the Namma Poets Boys and Girls from Bangalore featuring local, up and coming talent.
