Puma launched an anthem for the Cricket World Cup 2019 featuring rapper DIVINE and captain Virat Kohli. Titled Chakravyuh Mein Sock Them, the song takes inspiration from the skipper’s iconic moment at the Sydney Cricket Ground, where he made a statement by gesturing that he “Let his bat do the talking”.

The cricketer who is also Puma’s brand ambassador says,“I always look to push my limits and challenge myself on and off the field. I am super excited to be part of this rap anthem, and I had a great time working with Puma and DIVINE on the campaign. As we prepare to take the field, I’m looking forward to seeing Indian cricket fans join the #SOCKTHEM movement, and hope to see them singing Chakravyuh Mein Sock Them for years to come.”

Indulge spoke to DIVINE about the song. The rapper says he has always been a fan of cricket and a huge supporter of the men in blues. On working with Virat, he says, “It’s an honour. Salute to the champ for doing this with me.”

He says, what drew him to the song was the theme. “The theme was tight and I liked it when I was first approached for this by Puma. The beat is made by my favourite producer in the game right now, Karan Kanchan. We both wanted the song to have the stadium feel, and we got it,” he signs off
