Tony Iommi wishes a speedy recovery to Metallica’s James Hetfield
Black Sabbath’s legendary guitarist Tony Iommi writes to Metallica vocalist James Hetfield after the latter decided to re-enter rehab. Iommi took to Facebook to support James on his decision.
“My best out to James Hetfield. You’ve done the right thing seeking help - I’m thinking of you my friend and wishing you all the very best on your recovery. Looking forward to seeing you back at your best very soon.Your pal. Tony,” the message reads. The writing is accompanied by an old picture of the two of them together.
As per reports, other musicians like Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe was also spotted on social media scribbling about the incident. He is said to have mentioned that James played a major role in him becoming sober, nearly nine years ago, while they were touring together.
Three members of Metallica had recently taken to Social Media to apologise for postponing their upcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand because of James’ condition. They also promised that they’ll return to the locations soon, as soon as he recovered and their schedule permitted.
