Indian actress Hansika Motwani is busy getting ready to shoot for her upcoming film Maha, however, a new hurdle seems to have come in the way for her, after a rather dull year. The makers of the film released two film posters, which seem to be a problem for many, as it features Hansika smoking a chillum on a throne while being surrounded by sadhus.

The film, said to be female-centric, is Hansika’s 50th film and is a first for debutant director UR Jameel, who also has a case against him. The case has been filed by Janakiraman from Pattali Makkal Kacchi (PMK), whose petition states that the poster has hurt religious sentiments. However, this is not the first time that PMK has filed a case, as earlier Anbumani Ramadoss of the same organisation criticised Vijay’s Sarkar, after the poster featured him lighting a cigarette. They went a step ahead to tell director AR Murugadoss to take the poster down because it glorifies smoking.

However, neither Hansika or UR Jameel have responded to the controversy, since the petition was filed. The actor, is currently also busy with Vikram Prabhu's Thupakki Munai and Atharvaa's 100, as the former hit theatres on Friday.
