Actor Shilpa Shetty's husband and businessman Raj Kundra is being questioned by the Enforcement Directorate in relation to the high profile bitcoin scam that also involves Indian investor Amit Bhardwaj.
Reportedly, his name cropped up during their ongoing investigation into GainBitcoin case that pertains to Rs 2,000-crore Bitcoin mining scam.
However, it is not yet confirmed if Kundra is being questioned for his role in the alleged fraud or if he was just one of the investors duped by Bhardwaj.
The Enforcement Directorate had, in April, arrested the key mastermind and founder of GainBitcoin Amit Bhardwaj for allegedly duping investors worth Rs 2,000 crore. The investigative agency had earlier made a number of arrests based on information provided by Bhardwaj.
Raj Kundra faces a ban on all kinds of activities related to cricket after his involvement in the IPL betting scandal. However, he has challenged the ban in the Supreme Court after the Delhi Police gave him a clean chit in the case.
