South Indian film industry actress Amala Paul recently suffered an injury on the sets of her upcoming film Adho Andha Paravai Pola. The actor is said to have been performing an action sequence when the injury occurred and she is currently undergoing treatment at a Kochi hospital.
According to reports, the actor who does her own stunts and does not use a body double, twisted her right arm which resulted in a ligament tear. She went on to shoot the sequence even after the injury thinking it was just a sprain but it only turned worse till she had to stop shooting. However, after being treated she has posted a photo on Instagram to all her fans saying,"A famous proverb goes 'No hero without a wound'. I took it seriously, so now with a broken arm. Thank you all for your well wishes. My hand will heal faster now."
Adho Andha Paravai Pola is a suspense thriller is set in the Western Ghats about a woman getting lost in the jungle. The film has been directed by Vinoth KR and also stars Ashish Vidyarthi, Samir Kochhar and Supreme Sundar, among others.
