Star couple Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the knot earlier this month at Umaid Bhawan Palace Hotel in Jodhpur. The couple made their first appearance as a married couple the next day as they arrived at Jodhpur airport to head to Delhi.
The actress opted for a green Sabyasachi saree for her airport look and completed her look with sindoor, chooda and mangalsutra. The newlyweds also wore their Chopard wedding bands.
Ever since then, Priyanka chose to stick to the tradition and paired all her dresses for various events with her mangalsutra and sindoor look. Many activists and people on social media trolled Priyanka’s decision to wear sindoor, chooda and mangalsutra, questioning her stand on feminism.
Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra recently took to Twitter to share her opinion on Priyanka’s look. She tweeted, “Sindoor is not synonymous with bondage anymore. Watch Priyanka proving it everyday!!”
