Singer Sona Mohapatra criticised singer Sonu Nigam for backing Anu Malik amid the sexual harassment allegations against him.
According to reports, Sonu Nigam recently said during an event that people respect the accusers even without any proof.
Sona Mohapatra, who was one of the first women to accuse Anu Malik of sexual harassment, took to Twitter to slam Sonu Nigam for defending Anu Malik. Sona, on Tuesday, tweeted, "So much sympathy for a millionaire losing work? So much empathy for his privileged family being ‘tortured’? How about the scores of girls & women he tortured?Multiple testimonies not proof enough? “Sonu Nigam backs Anu Malik on
#MeToo : Where is the proof?”
She further added: "I always found Sonu Nigam to be brighter than most of his peers, intelligent, so talented, excellent at his craft & yes, kind too. Feel so let down hearing him talk like this & choose the dark side to side up with. I'm hoping he realises how sad this is. (sic)"
In the wake of the #MeToo movement in India, Sona Mohapatra had accused Anu Malik of sexual harassment.
