American pop star Miley Cyrus confirmed her marriage with Australian actor Liam Hemsworth on her social media accounts. She shared images from the ceremony, reported to have been held on Sunday, on social media, with the caption: “10 years later…”.
It was a private ceremony attended by family and close friends, according to reports. Miley’s mom, Tish Cyrus, and dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, were in attendance.
They lost their home in California in the state’s devastating wildfires in November. The wedding is reported to have taken place at another property owned by Miley, in Franklin, Tennessee.
The couple met nearly a decade ago on the film set of The Last Song. They got engaged in 2012 but then broke it off the following year and separated. They were seen together in 2015 and it was later announced that they were again engaged.
