Kerala television actress Surya arrested for printing fake currency notes
Kerala television actress Surya along with her mother and sister were arrested on Wednesday for printing counterfeit notes in their house in Kollam. The reason for the production of currency notes is said to the loss of money they had incurred over the years.
According to several media reports, the 36-year-old actress was arrested after the police seized a computer, color printer and executive bond paper from the house. The Kerala police also found fake notes worth Rs 57 lakh in the denominations of Rs 200 and Rs 500, which were being circulated. Surya Sasikumar’s 29-year-old sister Shruti and 56-year-old mother Ramadevi were also arrested for assisting the actor in the illegal activity.
The police have further said that the family had been printing notes in their house for over six months before the raid was carried out, exposing them.
