American singer Demi Lovato was recently hospitalised after she suffered from a drug overdose during a party. While it has been reported it was a near-death situation for her, the paramedics arrived in time to treat her and she has since been in hospital under intensive care. However, her mother Dianna De La Garza is taking steps to ensure that nobody is allowed to meet her until the singer recovers fully.

According to various media reports, Demi’s mother has put her hospital floor on lockdown and the security for her daughter has been tightened so that nobody can sneak into her room. Dianna has also reportedly been next to Demi ever since the incident and said that her daughter had been falling in with a bad crowd who were encouraging her to use hard drugs. Demi was reportedly said to have been partying with her friends when she collapsed and within no time, they got hysterical before the ambulance arrived. She was immediately given Narcan, which helps reverse the effects of drug overdose, and it helped her recover a bit.

Demi Lovato has been suffering from drug and alcohol addiction ever since she turned 16, according to many reports. The former Disney star has even reflected her battle in her songs and the most recent one being Sober, however, she also admitted that she had relapsed. On the day of the incident, it is believed she had a heroin overdose, however, her friends deny the use of the drug.
