Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be tying the knot on May 19 and while it is the most awaited wedding of the year, drama doesn’t seem to leave the American actresses’ life. The father of the Suits actress who was supposed to walk her down the aisle has said he wouldn’t be attending the wedding.
Prince Harry was supposed to meet Meghan Markle’s father Thomas Markle for the first time this week but his absence will mean that he will not be meeting Thomas anytime soon. His absence is a result of a revelation that he posed for the paparazzi in a staged photo outside his house in Mexico.
Interestingly, the staged photoshoot was set up by Meghan’s half-sister Samantha who hoped that their father would get some positive press coverage before the wedding. Thomas had said that he also had a heart attack six days ago but left the hospital early so that he could attend but that is now not possible.
After the incident, a spokesperson at the Kensington Palace has said Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have asked for understanding and respect from everybody in the deeply personal moment for the couple, days before their wedding. While Thomas Markle was supposed to attend the wedding, step-siblings Samantha and Thomas Markle Jr. have not been invited for the wedding; her mother Doria Ragland, however, will be present at the wedding.
