Ayushmann Khurrana's Badhaai Ho opens strong at the box office
This is the actor's second film in a month that's already doing well
Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is on a roll. The actor's second film this month, Badhaai Ho, opened with a collection of Rs 7.29 crores as per reports. The film tells the story of a young man who is shocked to learn that his mother is pregnant again. Ayushmann plays the role of this young man, while Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao play the role of the parents. Dangal star Sanya Malhotra is cast opposite Ayushmann.
The actor's other film, Andhadhun, that released earlier this month is still running strong in theatres across the country. Though the film opened with a box office collection of Rs 2.70 crores, but picked up well collecting Rs 15 crore in the first weekend as per reports. The film is a black comedy about a blind pianist who witnesses a murder.
Ayushmann who is going through a difficult period in his personal life due to his wife Tahira Kashyap's cancer treatment, seems to have hit the right chord at the box office with strong content-driven films.
