She earned a lot of accolades for her stellar performance in ALTBalaji's web series Apharan. After a break, now actor Mahie Gill, who is known for her acts in films like Dev D, Paan Singh Tomar, Dabangg and Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster, is gearing up to star in another web series for ALTBalaji. Titled Fixer, the series will show her in a whole new avatar and Mahie will be seen playing a pivotal role.
The 43-year-old sultry actor will be playing Surekha Malik, a quintessential housewife albeit with a comic twist. Like an archetypal housewife, Surekha loves to dress well and chat with people. The embarrassing faux pas by her will leave the audience in splits, tell sources.
“Working with ALTBalaji for Apharan has been a wonderful experience. It feels really great to work with Ekta Kapoor and I trust her completely. I am looking forward to playing this simple yet complex character," says Mahie Gill.
Fixer tells a story that focuses on the life of a tainted ATS (anti-terrorism squad) officer from Delhi, who is drawn into the murky underbelly of Mumbai's movie mafia world and industrialists, and soon becomes a fixer. This thriller with a great mix of drama and comedy promises to be interesting.
