Monday evening in Mumbai saw Marvel fans unite under one roof to greet the director of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most anticipated film - Avengers: Endgame - releasing later this month.

Joe Russo, who has in the past directed many superhero films for MCU, including Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War and more recently, Avengers: Infinity War, was in the city, kicking off the promotional tour (for the Asia Pacific leg of the tour), much to the delight of Marvel fans in the country. The director also met AR Rahman, and launched a special Avengers anthem that the composer had created especially for Indian fans.

Russo, according to sources, enjoyed his India tour and immersed himself in the Indian culture. So much so, that the director was seen relishing an Indian thali that was specially created for him by the chefs at Taj Land's End, where the director was believed to be staying.

The traditional Indian thali was not just an ordinary platter, but it was laid out in an 'A' shape. No prizes for guessing what the 'A' stood for. The special thali comprised close to 16 little bowls filled with various delicious Indian savouries and sweets and even a few rotis, fresh off the tandoor. Russo was dressed in a traditional Indian lavender kurta, with a matching stole too.

A meal fit for the Avengers, we think!

Avengers: Endgame releases on April 26.
