A few days after a US magazine reported that Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are headed for a divorce only 117 days after their marriage, the couple is reportedly going to sue the publication. The magazine had earlier stated that a source talking about the rumoured divorce to them said they had been fighting about literally everything, from work to partying and even spending time together.
Interestingly, the article also quoted the source saying, “Basically, they rushed into things… And now they're paying the price. Their marriage is hanging by a thread." However, according to a newer article, Priyanka is set to sue the magazine for spreading false information about her and Nick Jonas and a close associate said that once she makes up her mind, nothing can stop her. The source also went on to say that Priyanka will bring on her legal team and also bring the publication to their knees. The friend also stated that she had met Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas last week and the vibe between them is so warm that no “party pooper can piss on their parade”.
The article in question had also quoted the source saying, “Nick believed Priyanka was cool and easygoing when they got married. But recently Nick has seen a controlling side to her.” In fact, according to the article, she also had a temper which he did not know about until the wedding celebrations. Taking the extent of their reason for divorce a little further, it was also mentioned that Nick’s family is “begging him to end the marriage” with her; while they earlier thought she was a mature woman ready to settle down with children, she is apparently a party girl, who “acts like she is 21”.
Interestingly, this is not the first time Priyanka Chopra has faced a problem, earlier a publication had published an article saying that she was a “global scam artist”. However, after facing severe backlash on social media, they were forced to take down the article. The rumour about their divorce comes amidst Priyanka and Nick Jonas both throwing cakes at a concert in Miami and having fun together. She also reportedly attended Nick Jonas’ brother's graduation party, putting all the rumours to rest.
