Australia’s Matthew Hayden is quite popular with most Indians especially for his explosive batting when he played for Australia, and also for Chennai Super Kings before he retired. With Chennai Super Kings’ IPL season underway, Hayden decided to have a little fun of his own and shop around in Chennai’s T Nagar area in a disguise. Interestingly, the former Australian batsman has revealed that it was a dare from former Australian teammate Shane Warne.

Matthew posted a few pictures of himself in the disguise on Instagram, and every Indian is amazed at the attempt, which he was definitely successful at in the Indian city. Hayden can be seen wearing a lungi and a black t-shirt with a mauve-coloured shirt over it. A long black beard and a brown hat see him complete the resemblance and with no viral images, we’re sure he looked just like any other Chennaite doing his regular shopping.

The cricketer revealed that Shane Warne dared him to shop in the city for under Rs 1,000 and so he went to the T Nagar Street Mall and picked up a few lungis, shirts and Rajinikanth sunglasses and even a watch for that money. Interestingly, Matthew also revealed that he paid a local boy Rs 100 to helped him and even told Warne that he completed the challenge. It is no surprise that Matthew Hayden had fun in Chennai, as he has mentioned on several occasions, that he considers it his second home.
