Bond girl Nadja Regin who appeared in Goldfinger passes away at 87

Hollywood actress Nadja Regin, popularly known for her roles as the Bond girl, passed away at 87 at her home. Starring in two James Bond films From Russia with Love and Goldfinger, the Serbian actress had an illustrious career which spanned over 20 years in the film industry.

Nadja also appeared in several British TV shows in the 1960s including The Avengers, Danger Man and The Saint and 1964 New Zealand film Runaway. But she was best known for her role as the mistress of Kerim Bey in From Russia with Love, which starred Sean Connery as the spy James Bond. Interestingly, she also had the role of reading and selecting film scripts for production houses like Rank Films and Hammer Films in the mid-70s. However, in 1980, she changed professions and dived into the publishing business with her sister Jelena, and they formed Honeyglen Publishing. The company reportedly specialised in the philosophy of history, belles lettres, biography and fiction.

The 87-year-old actress also wrote The Victims and the Fools, as an e-book which was published under her original name Nadja Poderegin, as well as a children's book The Puppet Planet. She even worked on her memoir titled Recollections, in her later years.
