'Vicky Donor made an outsider like me dream big': Ayushmann Khurana on seventh anniversary of debut film
Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurana has come a long way in the industry since his first film Vicky Donor in 2012. On the seventh anniversary of the release of the very same film, the AndhaDhun said among many things, it was the success of the movie on sperm donation, allowed an "outsider" like him in the film industry to dream big.
In an interview, Vicky said, "First film is always your most special one. Vicky Donor has given me so much love that I will be forever indebted to the film and my director Shoojit Sircar. It was the start of my cinematic journey and it made me learn a lot and shaped me as an artiste." He added that the film gave him a sense of confidence that he too could afford to dream big and it was a great pleasure to work with the entire cast of the film, and most importantly Shoojit Sircar, for his belief in the actor. Interestingly, Ayushmann did not only act in the film but also sang the, now popular song, Paani Da Rang, which became quite a hit.
After Vicky Donor, Ayushmann was also seen in Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Bareilly Ki Barfi, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, Badhaai Ho and AndhaDhun. As of 2019, he is currently quite busy and working on Dream Girl, with Nushrat Bharucha, and Article 15 with Isha Talwar. He has also signed a satire comedy Bala, and Shor Shagun Ladki, a romantic drama starring Arjun Kapoor, Amrita Puri and Bipasha Basu.
