R Madhavan was the latest victim of a troll for a photo posted on his Instagram page.

The actor had shared a family picture on Instagram, on the account of Independence Day, but a troll dissected the image, coming across a cross in Maddy's home. The Twitter user asked why Madhavan had a cross in his mandir. To this, Madhavan gave a staunch reply back. The actor started things off by writing, "I really don’t worry about respect from the likes of you. I hope you get well soon. Surprised that in u r sickness you did not see the Golden temple pic there too and asked if I converted to Sikhism."

The actor went on to write about how he had blessings from all religious places around the world. While some were gifted, some were bought. The actor stated that he has been taught, since childhood, to maintain his identity with pride but at the same time to respect each and every faith, belief and region. "‘Yemmadhamum Sammadham’ (I respect each religion as my own). I hope my son follows that too," Maddy pointed out.

"I have prayed at every Darga, Gurudwara, and Church. I have had the good fortune to visit when a temple was not around. They have shown me the utmost love and respect knowing that I am a Hindu. How can I not reciprocate that? All I have is a lot of love and respect to give as my vast travels and experience have proved, is the only true faith. Peace and love to you too," Madhavan concluded.
