See pics: Kartik Aaryan shares first look of horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2

Actor Kartik Aaryan will be seen playing the lead in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. The first look of the horror-comedy was shared on social media, where the Pyaar Ka Punchnama star is seen in a similar outfit that actor Akshay Kumar had worn in the first film - Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Priyadarshan’s 2007 horror-comedy.

T-Series head Bhushan Kumar made the announcement and said, “While the audience has been waiting for the second instalment to Bhool Bhulaiyaa, even I was eagerly waiting to make one for the longest time. However, we wanted to lock in the right script, one which was equally engaging and enticing as the first one. Finally, after a long wait of 11 years, Murad Bhai came to me with a script, which I felt was worthy of taking Bhool Bhulaiyaa forward as a franchise.”

The 2007 film was a remake of Fazil’s acclaimed Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu (1993), later remade in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Bengali.

Apart from this flick, Kartik has a series of films lined up in the next two years. The Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor will be seen in the remake of the 1978 film Pati Patni Aur Woh in December, followed by an Imtiaz Ali film in 2020, starring Sara Ali Khan.
