Ali Fazal dominated the digital space with his impeccable portrayal in Amazon Prime’s original series Mirzapur as Guddu Pandit. Ali soon confirmed he would be part of Season 2 and this was further confirmed by the show’s producer Farhan Akhtar.
This year, Ali will not only come back as Guddu Bhaiya with the subsequent season of Mirzapur but will also feature in two massive projects, Prassthanam and Milan Talkies. Apart from his big screen outings, Ali will also do a cameo in Applause Entertainment's new production, Mind The Malhotras. The show is being produced for Applause by Ali’s close friend Dia Mirza. The two actors were introduced during the filming of Bobby Jasoos which was produced by Mirza’s company Born Free Entertainment.
Dia’s husband Sahil is directing the show which is adapted from the Israeli show La Famiglia. When he was approached, given his friendship with Dia and Sahill, Ali didn’t think twice to say yes. He will be seen as a guest star in an episode on the series. Speaking about it, Ali said, "Dia and Sahil have always been very very dear to me, obviously this relationship started with Bobby Jasoos, they were producers and Dia got me on board to work with Vidya Balan in the film. I got really excited when they approached me for the show. I think the format is very western and classic. It's a nice fun comedy and I am playing a small part in one episode."
