Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika has received a quite a lot of praise, however, the actor has slammed Bollywood for ignoring her by supporting and coming for film screenings. Recently, the actress talking about the film industry said that it isn’t the first time and even when her 2014 film Queen received a lot of praise, they weren’t really for her, and it was more for Vikas Bahl and Anurag Kashyap.
The Queen actor revealed that even after the release of Tanu Weds Manu, many Bollywood celebrities would not come to watch even if she held private preview shows for them. Interestingly, she went on to reveal that they shamelessly call her and she has even cancelled many shoots on occasions, so that she could be present at the previews. Among many others, Kangana said Alia had sent her the trailer of Raazi, and she made time to watch it and call and spoke to both her and Meghna Gulzar for over an hour after that. However, the actress, who had earlier criticised Anushka Sharma and Sonakshi Sinha, added that she does not do it anymore because it is “getting too much” as when it was her turn, there was no support from anyone.
Kangana Ranaut has been in the news even before the release of Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, after co-director Krish took a dig at her for take first director credits. Additionally, the Karni Sena had also stated that they would not let her release the film if it insults historical figure Rani Laxmibai, on whom the film is based. However, being the bold person she is, Kangana said she will not stop at anything to release her film and even challenged the fringe group to it.
