Fans may have mixed reactions about Will Smith’s appearance in Aladdin, however, the Hollywood star is leaving no stone unturned to compliment his Indian counterpart Ranveer Singh on his latest performance. Quite in awe of Bollywood livewire, he recently expressed his admiration for the actor after watching Gully Boy. Will immediately put out a story on Instagram and said he loved Ranveer Singh’s work in the film with old school hip-hop.
A few months ago, Will Smith and Ranveer Singh met each other when the Aladdin star visited India and met Karan Johar, among other Bollywood celebrities. In his story, Will said, “Yo Ranveer congrats man! I am loving what you’re doing with Gully Boy. For me, old school hip hop here…hip hop all over the world like that I am loving it, man, congrats Go get em!.” Ranveer’s Gully Boy co-star Alia Bhatt immediately shared the story and even director Zoya Akhtar did not fail to share it while also complimenting the Hitch actor saying, “I love Will Smith”. However, Ranveer Singh has reportedly not scene the video yet but knowing the actor we know it is going to definitely be some mutual appreciation.
Gully Boy has received great reviews after its release and with all the hype around it, the film is looking to create quite a few box office records, as it has already earned 19.40 crores on the first day. On the film front, Will Smith’s Aladdin is set to release on May 24, while Ranveer will soon get ready to shoot for Karan Johar’s Takht, featuring Vicky Kaushal, Janhvi Kapoor and Alia Bhatt among others.
