As Emraan Hashmi gets ready for the release of Why Cheat India, he has more than one reason to be happy and relieved because his nine-year-old son is now cancer-free. The Bollywood actor on Monday shared an emotional post about his son Ayaan, who beat cancer after first been diagnosed with the disease in 2014.
Ayaan, the actor’s first son with Parveen Shahani, was born in February 2010, and four years later was diagnosed with the first stage cancer, which took quite a toll on the family. However, Emraan did not give up and even released a book called The Kiss of Life: How A Superhero and My Son Defeated Cancer, to raise awareness about the disease. The actor in an earlier interview had said that both, he and his wife did not have any warning about the disease, no fever or physical discomfort. However, there was a tumour, which he says they missed and wondered what they did wrong, to miss it on a three-year-old.
Emraan said that today, five years after all the treatment, his son has been declared cancer-free and he couldn’t be happier. He also went on to thank his family and friends as well as fans for all the supporting. The Why Cheat India, also said that hope and belief go a long way and everybody can fight against cancer and the win the battle, to be healthy.
