Here's all you need to know about the teaser of Salman Khan's Bharat
The teaser of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Bharat is finally out. Going by the teaser, this time, Bhai’s fans will get to see their favourite star in more than one professions.
In the one-and-a-half-minute teaser, Salman is seen as a daredevil motorcyclist performing stunts, a Navy officer and an ageing boxer (trained by Sunil Grover). The story of Bharat chronicles Salman’s journey from a child to a man of 70.
The teaser starts with visuals of an overcrowded train at a railway station in Pakistan with pictures from the Partition of India. In the background, you hear Salman say that he was named Bharat, after his country, by his father. Therefore, he doesn't give importance to questions about his cast, creed and religion.
The film also gives us a glimpse of his unshaven look that he sported in Bajrangi Bhaijaan. A still shows him standing in front of the Wagah border with a sari-clad Katrina Kaif besides him. This coincidentally is also the only glimpse of Katrina Kaif we get in the Bharat teaser.
“Katrina plays a pivotal role in the movie. And the film’s release is almost 6 months away. Hence the makers decided to keep her look and role guarded. It was a team decision to only establish Salman Khan’s character in the teaser. Katrina’s look and character details would be revealed only in the trailer, which will come out nearer to the film’s release date,” a source explained as the reason for Katrina missing from the teaser, to a leading media organisation.
The film also stars Tabu, Jackie Shroff and Aasif Sheikh. Based on Korean war drama An Ode To My Father, Bharat is slated for Eid 2019 release.
