Kerala’s internet sensation Priya Prakash Varrier became famous last year because of just one 10-second wink in a song for Oru Adaar Love. The wink is in the song Manikya Malaraya Poovi and in the Malayalam-language romantic comedy set in school. While it has been one year now, Priya revealed that she still gets requests to wink and is quite bored of it now, though she likes the fame.
In a recent interview, Priya said during the course of 2018, she has at least winked 200 times for fans on request, whenever she meets them while travelling to college. The celebrity added that she still does not know how it went viral and even still wonders what people saw in that wink that they admired it so much. The 19-year-old said while she does not get irritated, she does get bored of doing it so many time. Talking about the audition, she said the director only asked her to give cute expressions and she went with the flow. However, she also went on to mention that the take, was approved after the first time itself.
Priya said that all she did was audition for the film as she had once before worked with Omar Lulu. However, with all the following fame after the release of the song, he tweaked the film to give her a lead role. The film is set to release on February 14, which also happens to be Valentine’s Day and the actor said it is a film which will rekindle campus love stories. The actor added that she is currently also reading many scripts for Tamil films, but will soon be seen in a Bollywood film based on late actor Sridevi, called Sridevi Bungalow.
