Police officials visit Sonakshi Sinha's home, the actress is accused of cheating by a Delhi-based event organiser
The actress allegedly didn't turn up for an event at the last moment after accepting a payment of Rs 24 lakh
Seems like actor Sonakshi Sinha is in trouble. A team of police officials visited the actress' house in Mumbai on Thursday in connection with an alleged case of cheating. An event organiser had filed a case against the actress last year accusing her of not turning up for an event in Delhi at the last moment after accepting a booking amount of Rs 24 lakh.
The officials assisted by the Juhu officials from the Juhu police station visited the Sonakshi's home to take her statement, however the actress was not present at home. The police officials left after waiting for her for a few hours.
However, Sonakshi's spokesperson refuted all allegations and issued a statement to a leading newspaper in Mumbai, saying, "In her nine-year-long career, she has only worked with complete honesty and sincerity. What this man is accusing her of is completely untrue and baseless. This is just a way of extortion by maligning her spot-free reputation in the press and it is not something that Sonakshi and her team will succumb to. She is a thorough professional and we have been more than cooperative with whichever authorities that have gotten in touch with us because we have nothing to hide."
Meanwhile, the actress has been busy with her next film, Khandaani Shafakhana, a comedy that is set to release later this month. Sonakshi will also be seen in Akshay Kumar-starrer Mission Mangal. The actress is also busy with the shoot of Dabangg 3.
