Almost a year after Irrfan Khan revealed that he has been diagnosed with cancer, the Piku actor was spotted at Mumbai airport early on Saturday. The 52-year-old Bollywood actor returned to India in February after undergoing treatment in London for a neuroendocrine tumour and immediately attracted attention, as he was spotted for the first time in a year.
Among the many pictures which have surfaced online, Irrfan can be seen avoiding the public eye as he hid his face with a muffler, while sporting a pink jacket and camouflage pants. However, there are no details of where the actor must have been headed to, as he made an unexpected appearance. In June last year, Irrfan had said that while he was battling cancer, all he could do was realise his strengths and play his game better. However, in a shocking revelation, he had also said that he had to go through six cycles of chemotherapy and he could die in a few months but now, he seems to have recovered successfully.
On the film front, soon after the diagnosis Irrfan Khan had opted out of the Amazon Prime show Gormint and even Udham Singh. Recently, it was revealed that Vicky Kaushal would be replacing him in the latter, which is being directed by Shoojit Sircar. It has also been revealed that Irrfan is soon set to start shooting for Hindi Medium 2, a sequel to his 2017 film with the same name.
