Parineeti Chopra replaces Shraddha Kapoor in Saina Nehwal biopic

Producer Bhushan Kumar took to Twitter to announce that actor Parineeti Chopra will play Saina Nehwal in her biopic.

Earlier, Shraddha Kapoor was supposed to play the role. She reportedly walked out of the project. Bhushan, however, didn’t address Shraddha’s exit.

Shraddha had begun training for her role from September last year with her coach and later her co-star Eshan Naqvi. But a few days into the shoot, the actor was reportedly diagnosed with dengue fever and the project was put on hold for a while. The shooting was supposed to resume from April 2019. 

The actor is currently busy filming for her Chhichhore, Street Dancer 3D, Baaghi 3 and her Telugu debut Saaho, along with Prabhas. Due to her hectic schedule, Shraddha reportedly had to walk out of the project. 

Parineeti has a few other films in her kitty - Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar with Arjun Kapoor, Akshay Kumar’s film Kesari and romantic comedy Jabariya Jodi with Sidharth Malhotra.
