'I don’t regret doing any of the nude scenes for Game Of Thrones': Emilia Clarke
Emilia said she would not go back and redo any of the scenes because people needed to see the scenes to understand the story better.
Ahead of Game Of Thrones Season 8, actor Emilia Clarke has revealed that she does not regret doing any of the nude scenes she did for the HBO production. Emilia, who is popular for her role as Daenerys Targaryen in the series, is reportedly one of the only characters on the show to have been given plenty of sex scenes. With a majority of those scenes being in Season 1, it has also led her face to appear on many porn sites.
Emilia said she has been asked the nudity question on many occasions, and her answer still remains the same. The 32-year-old actor said that she would not go back and redo any of the scenes because people needed to see the scenes to understand the story better. However, the actor had earlier received a lot of backlash from a lot of women for a scene where she emerges nude after her clothes were burned in the fire. Emilia said that for that particular scene she had to portray herself as empowered and strong and she only wanted to do a scene that wasn’t sexual.
However, Emilia said the fact that women have criticised her for the controversial scene is in itself anti-feminist and is a problem which is upsetting for her. Interestingly, she confessed that while she was comfortable doing the scenes when she had first done them, she was scared of being typecast into that particular role all the time.
