Alia Bhatt is busy gearing up for her upcoming Bollywood film Kalank, her next film after the success of Gully Boy, and while she looks like she is at her best, the 26-year-old recently revealed that she has anxiety bouts. In a recent interview, the Raazi actor said that while she does not have depression, the bouts come and go and they have been happening for the last five to six months.

Alia said she is aware of the condition because of her sister Shaheen’s book and while she does not have anxiety attacks, she just tends to feel really low on several occasions. However, the actor said she is dealing with it and no matter how bad it is, she lets herself feel it. However, she feels like crying soon after but then it passes but this is what was initially very confusing for her. The Brahmastra actor said she would initially give reasons like it is all happening because of work or that she has been really tired and not been able to meet friends. But, with the kind of personality she is, Alia said she tends to get on edge about the whole situation. Sharing the issue with her friends, Alia said she spoke about it to Ayan Mukerji and even spoke to All India Bakchod’s Rohan Joshi. However, they all said it will go away but at the same time, it is important to accept it and not say she is fine.

On the film front, Alia is getting ready for the promotions of Karan Johar’s Kalank with Varun Dhawan and Aditya Roy Kapur as it is set to release on April 19. She also has a packed schedule after as she is working on Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan before going to work with Karan Johar again on Takht with Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal and Janhvi Kapoor. At the same time, she will also start working on SS Rajamouli’s RRR before Sadak 2 with her father Mahesh Bhatt.
