'There is a lot of production talk right now, but I also want to direct a movie someday': Aishwarya Rai

The 45-year-old actor said it is time for her to seriously think about it but she also understands that it requires the highest level of commitment.

There are many female actors in Bollywood who are donning the role of directors, and after Kangana Ranaut recently directed Manikarnika, Aishwarya Rai has expressed interest in the role. While Aishwarya was last seen in Fanney Khan, she revealed that there have been talks about producing a film, and she has received a lot of good feedback for it and it is encouraging but there is nothing concrete as of now. 

In a recent interview, Aishwarya said she does want to direct a film too someday because it has been on a mind for some time now, however, she hasn’t sent time or energy to work on it yet. The 45-year-old actor said it is time for her to seriously think about it but she also understands that it requires the highest level of commitment. Interestingly, Aishwarya said a lot of her friends have said she should do it soon and maybe in a few years she will be able to live up to it. 

On the film front, Aishwarya was reported to be working with husband Abhishek Bachchan in Anurag Kashyap’s Gulab Jamun, however, they walked out after they had differences with him Interestingly, another film with Sanjay Leela Bhansali is in the works with Abhishek but if there are fresh rumours that Taapsee Pannu has been paired opposite the Dhoom actor for the role.
