Game of Thrones actor Sophie Turner recently revealed that she and American singer Joe Jonas called it quits just a day before their surprise Las Vegas wedding.
In conversation with a leading media house, the actor reportedly said that she was going through a “phase of being very mentally unwell.”
“He (Joe) was, like, ‘I can’t be with you until you love yourself, I can’t see you love me more than you love yourself.’ That was something, him doing that. I think he kind of saved my life, in a way,” she shared.
She went on to explain. “It was the worst day of our lives. For a second we both had cold feet, then 24 hours later we were both, like, ‘Never mind.’”
Sophie and Joe were with Nick, Priyanka, Kevin and his wife Danielle at the 2019 Billboard Music Awards just before they got married.
They got married in front of close family and friends at the Little White Chapel. Sophie has been open about her battle with depression in the past and how growing up in front of the camera has affected her mental health.
