Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke reportedly said that she watched videos of Adolf Hitler to prepare for her last speech in the Television series.

The actor, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, had to deliver a stirring and powerful speech to her army in Dothraki and Valyrian (languages) in the final episode, after her win at the King’s Landing.

“In giving all these speeches in fake languages, I watched a lot of videos of — now it seems funny — dictators and powerful leaders speaking a different language to see if I could understand what they were saying without knowing the language. And you can! You absolutely can understand what Hitler’s f***ing saying, these single-focus orators speaking a foreign language,” Emilia reportedly told a leading media organisation.

She also said that she was tensed about the speech going wrong. “This speech meant so much to me. I was so worried that I was going to f*** it up. I stayed up so late every night for like two months. I said it to my cooker, I said it to my fridge.”

Talking about the show ending, she reportedly said, “We’ve been building up to it for so long, and then you wrap, other people wrap, the show finishes, but then you've got the first episode of the last season, the biggest episode of the last season, the last episode of the last season. It's been a lot.”

GOT’s finale episode aired on May 19 (May 20, 6.30 am), an end to the eight-season era.
