Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are undoubtedly one of the most loved Bollywood couples. The duo, who tied the knot in November last year, are always seen commenting on each others’ pictures and making fans go aww.
Recently, the Piku actor opened up about her wedding outfit, during a press interaction. DP was with designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee for Business of Fashion along with Imran Amed.
“The first person who even knew I was getting married was Sabya. It was about being a Sabya bride, but also about celebrating the parts of India where Ranveer and I came from,” she reportedly said, adding that the announcements were made only after the planning was under control.
“When you get married, it's a new chapter in your life. With Indian culture it's not just two people coming together, it's the families coming together. Our families are our core. It's important for us that our families are on the same page as well. I moved away very early from home, so the need for me to have a family was very important,” she said.
The actor is currently working on Chappaak, where she plays acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Meanwhile, Ranveer is prepping for 83 with Kabir Khan.
