English singer and songwriter George Michael rose to fame in the eighties with the pop duo Wham! Back in 2016, the artist died on Christmas Day.

Now it is reported that his unreleased song titled This is How will be featuring in the upcoming film Last Christmas. The track was recorded by George Michael in his last studio sessions before his death.

The lyrics of the funky track was written by George Michael himself and talks about the evils of society. The film is written and produced by Emma Thompson and directed by Paul Feig.

The movie also stars Emilia Clark, Henry Golding, Michelle Yeoh and many others. Thompson recently discussed how the star gave her his blessing before his death.

In a media interaction with a prominent news channel, she stated "He was just the loveliest guy you could imagine," she recalled.

"[He loved] all of these themes in the movie; he was passionate about homelessness, and he had this great social conscience."

"I got really enthused and we started to write, and then - of course - he had that tragic early death in 2016, on Christmas Day. So we lost him, and I miss him so much," she adds.

"When you get a song that has never been heard, you don't want to just use, like, 15 seconds of it.

The song starts at the end of the film, and then goes into the credits," said the Ghostbuster's director to a popular news channel.
