Shane Nigam's haircut stirs controversy, producers demand action for violating contract
Malayam actor Shane Nigam lands in trouble yet again. And this time, over his recent makeover, that seems to have violated the contract for his upcoming movie, Veyil.
According to reports, the KFPA (Kerala Film Producers Association) has demanded action against the 23-year-old, alleging that he has violated the movie contract multiple times.
The actor, who was donning a long hair and bearded look for the said movie, recently uploaded a picture on his Instagram account of himself with a shaved face and tonsured head.
Reportedly, the association is planning to summon a meeting in Kochi to inform their decision to not corporate with projects associated with the actor anymore.
The movie Veyil had stirred controversy earlier, following the dispute between the Kumbalangi Nights actor and producer Boby George. The dispute that began after the producer took offence at the actor’s decision to cut his hair for another movie was, however, settled in a joint meeting held by the KFPA and AMMA.
Following the mediation, the actor had resumed shooting for the film last week but left it alleging harassment by the director. Another complaint was also raised by Sarath Menon, the director of the movie, citing that the actor was not cooperating with the team.
