Sulli, ex-member of the K-Pop girl band f(x) was found dead on Monday at the young age of 25.

Metro.co.uk reported that the police had conveyed to the South Korean news agency ,Yonhap that the star's manager found Sulli dead at her home in Sujeong-gu, Seongnam, in the Gyeonggi province of South Korea.

Sulli was reportedly found dead at 3.20 p.m after her manager went looking for her at home when he couldn't seem to reach her.

The singer, whose real name is Choi Jin-ri, retired from her K-pop career in 2014, citing online abuse as the reason. Sulli made her debut as a member of f(x) alongside bandmates Victoria, Amber, Luna and Krystal in September 2009 with the single "La Cha Ta".

Quitting the band f(x), Sulli returned to acting the following year.

Having shot to fame at just 11 years old, playing the role of Princess Seonhwa of Silla in the SBS drama Ballad of Seodong, Sulli was no stranger to the spotlight.

The Busan-born star had phenomenal success during her time with f(x), with back to back hits such as Pinocchio (Danger), Electric Shock and Hot Summer.

Her association with the band came to an end on 24 July 2014, when it was announced Sulli would be taking a break from the group. On August 2015, it was made official.

Sulli's cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
