A morbid incident that lasted over 80 hours has left the entire state in tears—the failed rescue attempt of toddler Sujith Wilson. Putting an end to the misery, it was announced that the two-year-old’s body was recovered after much struggle. Everyone including celebrities like Janani Iyer, Yogi Babu, SR Prabhu, and Lakshmi Ramakrishnan took to their social media pages to share their support for the family.

Actor, choreographer, producer and philanthropist Raghava Lawrence and actor Arav (of Bigg Boss fame) have gone a step further and requested thousands of their fans not to celebrate their birthdays.

Lawrence also requested the parents to adopt a kid without parents and name him Sujith, in a heartfelt tweet in Tamil. He says this, implying that the kid gets parents and Sujith lives on through him. He also offered to help with the adoption and pay for the educational expenses.

The hashtag #RIPSujith was trending as fans of the actor started sharing their thoughts—requesting authorities to take necessary steps and avoid such mishaps and procure more necessary equipment for rescue operations.
