The 77th Cannes Film Festival witnessed a spectacular showcase of Indian glamour, as celebrities, actors, and content creators from the country brought a touch of 'desi' flair to the prestigious event.

This exciting blend of veterans and rising stars beautifully represented India's vibrant fashion heritage on the global stage, leaving a lasting impression with their stylish ensembles.

1. Jacqueline Fernandez

Jacqueline Fernandez turned heads with her glamorous look. The Bollywood star dazzled on the red carpet, wearing a sparkling rose gold gown by designer Mikael D Couture, paired with exquisite jewels from Hassanzade jewellery. Fernandez, who attended the event as a representative for BMW, carried herself with elegance and grace and was undoubtedly a fashion highlight.

2. Sobhita Dhulipala

Sobhita Dhulipala continued to astound with her fashion decisions during the 77th Cannes Film Festival. For her second look, the actress wore a glittering golden full-sleeved bodycon dress by Indian label Itrh. The snug suit was adorned with detailed accents that highlighted her body. Dhulipala accessorised her outfit with long earrings, a sleek bun hairstyle, and stylish heels.

3. Shahana Goswami

Shahana Goswami graced the renowned film festival adorned in a handcrafted ensemble by the celebrated designers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. The exquisite blouse, meticulously hand-embroidered and studded with sparkling Swarovski crystals, was paired with a modern drape of a champagne peach satin saree, creating a captivating and elegant look.

Aimee Baruah, an Assamese actress, made a mark at the international event wearing a traditional muga silk sari with elaborate handwoven Assamese motifs. Baruah's ensemble was a tribute to her roots, celebrating variety and urging others to embrace their unique identities.

Aditi Rao Hydari presented her first look from the Film Festival, wearing an effortlessly gorgeous and summery ensemble.  A yellow and black floral dress, with a beautiful messy bun hairstyle and minimal, dewy makeup that brought a fresh touch to her look. Hydari's gorgeous gown, by designer label Gauri & Nainika, perfectly combined summer-ready vibes with elegance, making it a perfect option for the special occasion.

6. Kiara Advani

Kiara Advani garnered attention during her most recent appearance, wearing a sculptural black and pink gown that radiated grace and glamour. The stunning Nedret Taciroglu design included a satin corset bodice, off-the-shoulder neckline, figure-hugging form, and a dramatic velvet fishtail hem with an extended train, with a huge pink satin bow at the back for an element of sophistication.

7. Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak

Naseeruddin Shah and Ratna Pathak made an unforgettable appearance on the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival 2024, bringing a new sense of simplicity and elegance to the event. Naseeruddin looked elegant in a white sherwani with maroon buttons, while Ratna wore a saree with a lavender-colored blouse made from recycled cotton and plant dye. Their simple yet lovely clothes shone out against the grandiosity.
