Reality television standard drama has escalated into a full-scale integrity scandal following the shocking elimination of entrepreneur and actress Parul Gulati from The Traitors 2. What began as tense on-screen rivalry has spilled over into an explosive social media feud, with fellow contestants Krystle D'Souza, Shahneel Gill, and Rida Tharana launching severe allegations of bribery and cheating against Gulati.
The controversy centres on Parul's uncanny accuracy during the show’s round-table deductions, where she pinpointed hidden Traitors—including Harman Singha and Krystle D'Souza—with seemingly miraculous precision. While Parul credited her razor-sharp calls strictly to an infallible "gut feeling," her co-stars now claim her instincts were backed by paid insider intelligence.
In a series of coordinated video statements, Krystle D'Souza and her fellow contestants alleged that Parul bribed a production ‘shadow’, a dedicated crew member assigned to assist and shadow specific participants throughout filming—to leak the secret identities of the Traitors.
“It’s simply unfair to everyone involved,” Krystle stated during an online broadcast, arguing that making extreme deductions without visible logical steps undermines both the Innocents working tirelessly to observe gameplay and the Traitors executing strategic deception.
Shahneel Gill took direct aim at Parul's signature defense, openly labeling the situation as: “Turns out the gut had a source. It isn't sharp intuition—it's match-fixing.”
The paid informant claim: Contestants allege a personal crew "shadow" received financial compensation to relay confidential Traitor identities to Gulati.
Unnatural precision: Co-stars questioned how anyone could risk their game (and in Gulati's case, put her personal business reputation on the line) based purely on an unverified hunch.
Coordinated outcry: Krystle D'Souza, Shahneel Gill, and Rida Tharana have jointly demanded accountability regarding the alleged breach of game integrity.
Parul has fiercely denied all allegations of bribery and misconduct. Responding to the mounting backlash, she characterised the joint accusations as a coordinated ‘digital witch-hunt’ designed to tarnish her gameplay and credibility. She maintains that her strategy relied purely on behavioural observation, high-stakes human psychology, and unyielding self-confidence, asserting that no rules were breached during her time on set.
