Priyanka Chopra is all smiles about her upcoming Bollywood project The Sky is Pink
The Sky is Pink, marks Priyanka Chopra’s first Hindi film project after two years. Her last appearance was seen in the film, Jai Gangaajal. The crew winded up the first schedule of shoot in Mumbai and has now commenced its second schedule in London. The Quantico star has shared a photo on Instagram from the sets of the upcoming Bollywood project with a caption that reads “It’s on”. The stars are seen with gleaming smiles, ready to kick start the shoot.
The selfie includes Farhan Akthar, Dangal fame Zaira Wasim and Hichki star Rohit Saraf who will be featured in the movie. The picture was shared in their respective Instagram handles as well. The film revolves around Aisha Chaudhary, played by Zaira Wasim, a motivational speaker suffering from pulmonary fibrosis since the age of 13. Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akthar will be playing the role of Aisha’s parents.
“I look forward to diving into this film…It’s very special to me. As soon I read it, I knew I had to be a part of telling this story, so I’m wearing two hats on this one… as an actor and as a co-producer,” said Priyanka about the film. She also adds,“In both aspects, I am equally excited to work with the amazing team of actors and technicians we have on board. Shonali is a formidable filmmaker and I can’t wait to see this story unfold in her expertise. I’m looking forward to working with Farhan, Ronnie and Sid again. All in all, it’s a great homecoming”.
The film is produced by RSVP and Roy Kapoor films and directed by the National Film Award winner, Margarita fame Shonali Bose. The screenplay has been penned by Piku writer Juhi Chaturvedi.
