Kangana Ranaut is all set for her biopic on the late J Jayalalithaa. The actress has been prepping hard to get into the character and even took hormone pills to gain the weight for her movie. While the first look of Kangana as Jayalalithaa has been appreciated, it looks like Thalaivi has run into trouble.

According to reports, the Madras High Court has given permission to J Jayalalithaa's niece Deepa to file a civil suit against the makers of Thalaivi. As per reports, the High Court has given permission to sue director AL Vijay of Thalaivi and the makers. For the uninitiated, Deepa had moved to Madras High Court at the start of this month. She wanted the court to put a stay on Thalaivi as well as a web-series directed by Gautham Menon.

In her affidavit, Deepa has said that neither Vijay nor Menon took her consent before starting the project. And hence, they do not have any legal rights to depict the life of Jayalalithaa on celluloid. She further added that she wants the makers to submit the entire script and seek her permission.
