The songs Rangabati and Hitler Mashima from Bengali film Gotro go viral on social media
Like all their films Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy's upcoming movie Gotro, which is set to release around Janmasthami this year, is creating pre-release waves. The song Rangabati, a very popular Sambalpuri folksong that has been picturised on actor Devlina Kumar and Om Sahani has touched more than six lakhs view within a few days of its release on YouTube on July 12.
But what's news is that a #rangabati_challenege has taken the social media by storm with even Devlina's boyfriend, actor Gourab Chatterjee (who happens to be Utam Kumar's grandson), taking up the challenge of matching steps to the tune. He posted the same on his Instagram account and urged others to accept the challenge too.
The song sung by Surojit Chatterjee and Imon Chakraborty was recently launched at the famous Tridhara Durga Puja's Khunti Pujo Utsav, where a flash mob cropped up when Devlina, Manali, Om and Nigel danced to the song. Neel Digonte, another song from Gotro which was released previous to this also went viral. Produced by Windows Gotro is a story of discovering one's true religion and is a soul-searching story where Anashua Mazumdar who was last seen and appreciated in Mukherjee Dar Bou this year, would be seen in a pivotal role apart from others.
A song called Hitler Mashima sung by Central minister Babul Supriyo has been picturised on Anashuya and Biswanath Basu who has a special appearance in the movie. Hitler Mashima, which was released yesterday evening has also been appreciated online with over 11 thousand views already. The film's music has been composed by Anindya Chatterjee and the costume has been done by Anupam Chatterjee.

So here's the #rangabati_challenge These steps took me one whole Sunday to memorise and finally I came to a conclusion that dancing is an art form which is tougher than rocket science. I may be bad at it but I loved it and most importantly enjoyed it. Thank you @devlinakumar for always making me dance to your tunes
