Karan Johar is going all out with the promotions of his upcoming Bollywood film Kalank which is set to release on April 17 as he has now released the second round of posters for the film. After releasing a bridal look of Alia Bhatt for the film last week, he has now released the posters with Alia and Sonakshi Sinha donning a more regular persona, as if growing out of their grand selves on cue.
Sonakshi, who plays the role of Satya. shared the picture of her in a light green sari and a bindi has the caption, “A role I will always cherish. Satya. #kalank on 17th April!". Interestingly, Karan also released Alia’s poster earlier today, which also happens to be her 26th birthday. Alia, who plays the character of Roop, can be seen donning a pink salwar kameez as she looks into the distance. However, she does not have a bindi and vermillion on her head like Sonakshi. Karan Johar sharing the picture of her on Twitter captioned it, “Courage has never looked this beautiful! Meet the feisty #Roop in #Kalank on 17th April."
Kalank is set to be a period drama film directed by Abhishek Varman and will see Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles apart from Alia and Sonakshi. The film is reportedly a product of Karan’s father Yash Johar and is expected to be quite a hit.
