Aamir Khan just released a motion poster of his upcoming film, Laal Singh Chaddha.
Sharing the motion poster on social media, the Dangal actor wrote: “Kya pata hum mein hai kahani, ya hai kahaani mein hum… (Who knows if story is in us or we’re in the story).”
Directed by Advait Chandan, the film is the Hindi adaption of Tom Hanks classic Forrest Gump.
It also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead. Aamir and Kareena have earlier worked together in 3 Idiots and Talaash. Talking about the project in an interview with a leading media organisation, she said, “Very randomly, out of the blue, I got a call from Aamir. 'I want you to hear this film, this and that and I am very excited about it.' So, it just happened very organically. I heard the script like just then the minute he called me and he was just like let's read some scenes. I want you to read some scenes. So, I was like yeah, I have never done something like this. I thought like what the hell. I want to see myself if I want to do this or not and you know there is nothing wrong in that.”
In the original 1994 film, Hanks plays the role of a slow-witted guy who falls in love with his childhood best friend and ends up marrying her. His character witnesses many defining historical events in the 20th century United States.
Laal Singh Chaddha will hit the screens on Christmas 2020.
