Allegations from ex-wife fuel rumours that Marvel studios may recast Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye
Jeremy Renner’s future in the MCU may be at stake. If you had not heard, the Hawkeye actor was accused of threatening to kill his ex-wife and himself in a coke-fueled rage. Since then, Jeremy has denied these accusations. However, rumours say that Marvel is planning on removing Clint Barton from their Disney Plus Hawkeye show.

While Marvel is yet to comment on the allegations, there are suggestions that the studio is already working on a contingency plan. This news comes from Daniel Richtman, a known social media influencer who is known to tweet news surrounding Marvel. And this newest piece of information was equipped with a dad-joke-fueled gif.
The Hawkeye series is set to see Renner play as Clint Barton one more time. The show will see him pass on his persona to Kate Bishop, a core character for the Young Avengers. The series which is expected to be like a mini Marvel movie has the studio reportedly spending as much as $25 million per episode and will result in a total of $200 million. Hawkeye will stream exclusively on Disney plus in Fall 2021.
