Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is known to be one of the fittest cricket players of his time and even though there have been many questions raised about his fitness, his peers don’t seem to agree. Recently, South African cricketer AB de Villiers was asked if Dhoni should be replaced in the team and he immediately said it would be a mistake and he would always want the Indian wicketkeeper in his team.

The South African cricketer said even if MS Dhoni was 80-years-old and in a wheelchair, he would still want him in his team, every day of every year. Dhoni has on several occasions shut out critics with magnificent performances after a brief slump, and there haven’t been too many occasions where he has made a mistake behind the stumps, because he is known to be lightning fast and can also get a batsman run out without looking at the stumps.

The cricketer who is also known to be very fast between the wickets has many records to his name while managing the team perfectly well to their first cricket World Cup in 2011, after 27 years. Many critics have questioned his fitness but have remained quiet after he challenged them to a race at that very moment, making him quite invincible on the field, even though he may not be the captain of the national team.
