Music composer Debojyoti Mishra's solo art exhibit explores the liberty of music through paintings

Mishra's art show is set to be a study in abstract art

Celebrated composer Debojyoti Mishra is all set to exhibit his artwork at an exhbition titled 'Shadows of Songs.' The exhibit will feature 130 paintings and five installations, and will be held at The Harrington Street Arts Centre. The show heavily focuses on regimentation of music.

We are told the art aims to recognise the liberty of music through paintings. Mishra has used the concept of human migration as his subject to create art. The occasion will also be attended by acclaimed names such as the dance exponent Tanushree Shankar, filmmakers Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Atanu Ghosh and Anik Dutta, and Fossils frontman Rupam Islam. 

 

Where: The Harrington Street Arts Centre, 8, Suite No. 5 & 25B, 2nd Floor, Opposite The American Consulate, Ho Chi Minh Sarani Road, Kolkata, West Bengal 700071

When: August 31 to September 8 2019

Time: 12.00 pm to 7.00 pm.
